About us
Helen and Peter, and a house we love
We are Helen and Peter. We bought Sage House in 2019 and spent the next stretch bringing it back to life ourselves, one room at a time.
We wanted a place that felt warm and calm, not fussy. Somewhere you can walk all day and come back to a real welcome.
A short history
How we got here

The house is built
A stone house on How Lane, in the middle of Castleton.

We took it on
Helen and Peter buy the house and start the work by hand.

Five rooms, open most of the year
We welcome guests all year, apart from January when we close.
Come and stay
Weekends fill up early. Send us your dates and we will hold a room.
